Educational Aims

This module is designed to introduce the social and cognitive approaches to psychology in two parts, Social Psychology: obedience and prejudice and Cognitive Psychology: memory and forgetting.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module, students will be able to:     

CLO1 - Recognize and recall the concepts in specific areas of Psychology
CLO2 - Describe ethical, safe, and skilful practical techniques and processes
CLO3 - Identify and apply qualitative and quantitative methods 
CLO4 - Analyse and evaluate theories, research, and arguments by others in specific areas of Psychology
CLO5 - Assess findings of research and its applications by society and individuals
