This module provides the basic concept of computer communication and network. Lectures will provide the theoretical base for the subject, including:

This module provides a basic understanding of Communications and Networks.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module, students will be able to:
CLO1 - Identify the types of communication components, network atchitectures, topologies, standards and protocols.                 
CLO2 - Describe and discover physical  and wireless transmission media.            
CLO3 - Recognise the network security and the future of communication and networking.
