The Sports Injuries Assessment module teaching will enhance on these basics and provide the clinical assessment skills, incorporating clinical reasoning and special tests, to aid in forming differential diagnostics relating to sports & exercise related injuries.
Students will be given the opportunity to attend clinics, ranging across Sports Medicine, Orthopaedic and Physiotherapy Specialist Clinics.

Knowledge:
All students must be able to:
• Understand the clinical presentation on examination of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries in specific body regions;
• Utilise the clinical skills of assessment to examine and diagnose a wide range of sports injuries and be aware of the differential diagnoses;
• Appreciate which special tests are relevant and understand their validity & reliability;
• Demonstrate a high level of clinical reasoning when assessing and diagnosing a patient.
Skills:
All students will be able to:
• Evaluate musculoskeletal and sports medicine clinical problems by being able to take a thorough subjective history and concise, clinically reasoned neuro-musculoskeletal clinical examination.
• Communicate clinical details to professional colleagues.
• Demonstrate clinical examination techniques and accurately perform the applicable special tests.
