Summary
In a typical research project, you would either (a) collect quantitative or qualitative data from participants, or, (b) evaluate an existing set of data. The project typically runs over the summer (starts after the Spring exams until mid-September).
In case research projects cannot involve empirical and/or person-to-person contact, acceptable methods are: online data collection, secondary data analysis, systematic literature review (with or without meta-analysis), computational modelling, simulation of data.

For students to apply all knowledge and skills learnt from all the modules in the completion of an independent scientific research project.Learning Outcomes
Students will learn to:
- Understand the tools and methods used by psychologists to study behavioural and clinical disorders
- Write a scientific review
- Formulate hypotheses based on literature
- Design an experiment/survey/field study to test hypotheses
- Analyse and interpret scientific data
- Write a scientific research paper
