Target Students
Primarily for students on MSc Developmental Disorders. Available for MSci Psychology students and MSci Natural Sciences students with permission of the course director or module convenor.
Classes
- One 1-hour seminar each week for 10 weeks
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 10 weeks
Assessment
- 50% Coursework 1: 2500 word essay.
- 50% Coursework 2: 2500 word case study.

Educational Aims
The module will review a variety of behavioural and clinical disorders, with a focus on how they develop in childhood and adolescence. Relationships between childhood clinical and behavioural disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders will also be discussed. Aspects of diagnosis and etiology will be covered. The module will also provide opportunities to reflect on the practical implications for intervention.Learning Outcomes
