Summary
This course is designed to introduce students to the evidence base in health and the importance of evidence based professional practice. It will allow students to develop the ability to search and understand relevant research. It will enhance independent learning, group collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
Target Students
Level 0 foundation health sciences students.

- 50% Presentation: 15 minute group presentation plus 5 minutes for questions
- 50% Essay: 750 Word Reflective Essay

Educational Aims
This course will allow students to work in small groups on a health topic of their choice. It will encourage individual thought, initiative and resourcefulness alongside the opportunity to enhance communication and group based skills. It will provide opportunity to understand the concept of evidencebased practice in healthcare and the development of presentation skills.Learning Outcomes
