Summary

This module involves, with supervision, the planning and completion of a dissertation project on a subject of your choice related to physiotherapy. Preparation sessions will introduce you to research methodology, data analysis, assessing quality in research, critical evaluation and advanced academic writing.

Target Students

Only available to BSc Physiotherapy and BSc Sport Rehabilitation students in Year 3.

Educational Aims

To manage and report on a project which addresses a question and/or need of further knowledge with Physiotherapy or Sport Rehabilitation practice, education, or research.

Learning Outcomes

Critically review the literature related to the chosen topic.

Identify issues, questions and problems within the selected topic.

Select a suitable method to obtain data relevant to the project.

Record and critically analyse the data in a logical manner.

Produce a report of the selected project.

Critically reflect on the project management process.
