This module provides relevant preparation for practice sessions, including mandatory training. It includes practice-based learning experiences to include the physiotherapeutic intervention and management of a range of populations, in one or more of the following areas: musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurorehabilitation, and leadership or research/projects

Educational Aims

To extend and deepen the range of professional and therapeutic skills within a physiotherapy practice-based learning context, encouraging the development of professional autonomy

Learning Outcomes

To develop effective and appropriate professional behaviours to work within scope of practice

To justify the appropriate assessment and management interventions to use within the practice placement context, with reference to evidence-based knowledge

To critically evaluate the role, benefits and limitations of physiotherapy with reference to current evidence-based practice

To demonstrate the ability to plan, deliver, modify/progress and evaluate therapeutic management

Write concise and accurate ongoing medico-legal and ethical records
