Summary
During this course the student will gain further practical experience in neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation, screening and prehabilitation in a sport, exercise or health related area; whilst being supervised by a designated educator. Students will be supported by a university tutor. Support may be provided via Skype/video conference or visit to the placement venue, depending on the geographical area. Experience gained will include the management of injuries from the acute stage through to late stage rehabilitation and return to sport/activity. Participation in screening and devising prehabilitation programmes for individuals will be encouraged. Skills developed in the classroom will be further developed and practised including massage, first aid and musculoskeletal assessment. Psychology in sport and exercise will also be integrated where possible and appropriate. Interprofessional learning will be encouraged within the multidisciplinary team.

This course encourages students to continue to develop theoretical knowledge and apply it in the assessment and treatment of clients in a clinical/sport setting.Learning Outcomes
