Summary
The course will provide the opportunity for students to:
- develop their knowledge and understanding of the role of psychology in sport
- consider assessment and treatment techniques, and strategies when working with the injured or high-level performer.

Educational Aims
This course aims to build on the application of psychological skills gained in previous courses. It aims to develop a wider repertoire of skills to manage psychological issues encountered during rehabilitation from injury and in promoting high-level performance.Learning Outcomes

Discuss psychological principles and their effectiveness in rehabilitation of sports injury.
Discuss psychological interventions used within sport to enhance performance.

Evaluate the effectiveness of various psychological interventions to improve recovery from injury and/or improve performance.

Perform a basic psychological assessment and develop a strategy to improve recovery from injury.
