Summary
Students will develop their knowledge and practical skills in a range of manual therapy techniques. The evidence base for the use of such techniques will be investigated and discussed. Students will develop an understanding of the implication for manual therapy techniques and develop the ability to apply this understanding to a range of case scenarios. Students will also undertake practical hours within the student massage clinic in the aim to improve their understanding and clinical application of the taught content.

Educational Aims
This course aims to build on students’ knowledge of, and skills in a range of manual therapies. A range of manual therapy techniques for treatment, rehabilitation, post exercise recovery and prehabilitation will be delivered.Learning Outcomes
Describe and discuss the principles and application of manual therapy techniques.
Evaluate the literature surrounding manual therapy techniques and their effectiveness in improving recovery from injury or improving performance in exercise.
Demonstrate the safe application of a range of manual therapy techniques.
Explain the selection of manual therapy techniques for a given scenario and discuss their application to wider circumstances.
Demonstrate communication skills.
