Summary

This is the first module that includes practice placement-based educational experience and will include preparation for practice including mandatory training sessions. You will experience physiotherapeutic intervention and management of a range of populations, including musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurorehabilitation or placements based on leadership or research/ projects.

Educational Aims

To discuss, apply and develop relevant theoretical knowledge and skills within a physiotherapy practice-based learning context.

Learning Outcomes

Develop effective and appropriate professional behaviours to work within scope of practice.

Justify the appropriate assessment and management interventions to use within the practice placement context, with reference to evidence-based knowledge.

Critically evaluate the role, benefits and limitations of physiotherapy with reference to current evidence-based practice.

Demonstrate the ability to plan, deliver, modify/progress and evaluate therapeautic management. 

Write concise and accurate ongoing medico-legal and ethical records

Demonstrate an awareness and adherence to clinical governance
