Educational Aims
This course aims to enable the student to plan and conduct an independent extended literature review related to an aspect of the field of nursing practice pertinent to the student.Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate searching skills and ability to access appropriate literature within the field of nursing practice.
Demonstrate independent critical thinking and appraisal skills in relation to research and other relevant types of evidence.
Synthesise literature review findings in an integrated way to generate new perspective.
Present recommendations for practice and future research based on your independent extended literature review of research.
Generate a strategy for the implementation of recommendations into practice.
Critically analyse research, health and social care policy and legislation to inform the need for evidence based nursing intervention, care and support.
