Summary
After training using appropriate software, students will be presented with a list of common clinical presentations. Working in groups of 3, they will produce a clinical case using XERTE software, that follows symptom presentation, further clinical investigations, diagnosis and treatment, similar to the cases that overarch each week in semesters 2, 3, and 4.
Target Students
Students registered on the A100 BMedSci, A10S BMedSci and A104 BSc Medical Sciences.There is a limited number of places on this module. Students are reminded that enrolments which are not agreed by the Offering School in advance may be cancelled without notice.
Classes
- One 1-hour seminar each week for 11 weeks
2 hrs Introduction to module learning. Then group work, problem based learning, and online facilitation
Assessment
- 67% Presentation 1: A grouseminar presentation (15 minutes plus 5 minutesĀ for questions).
- 33% Coursework 1: A reflection on the case (500 words, +/- 10%).
