Topic approved as part of the placement application process and discussed and approved as part of LIFE3016- Placement Project Proposal

- 80% Dissertation: Written report- up to 8,000 words
- 20% Presentation: Poster and 20 minute oral assessment

Educational Aims
Aims: To provide wide laboratory research experience within all areas of Neuroscience so that the student can attain specified research objectives. Objectives: Perform experiments designed to test a scientific hypothesis. Analyse the data appropriately and reach conclusions based on the original hypothesis. Report the results and their interpretation in both written and oral forms.Learning Outcomes
Students will aim to acquire a range of communication, project planning and management skills including, laboratory, technical, and presentation skills, problem solving and critical analysis skills, use of statistics to analyse data, interpretation of new informaton, deductive reasoning, detailed and concise reporting of scientific experiments.
