Summary

The purpose of the BA dissertation is to provide students with the opportunity to undertake independent research in a topic appropriate to the title of the degree for which they are registered

Please note this module is assessed at the end of both Autumn and spring semester.  First sit/ Resit exams are scheduled normally in the summer and can take the same form as the missing/ failed component of the assessment (exam, essay etc.) or other form, as decided by the School.

 

Target Students

BA students in International Communications and related programmes at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China There is a limited number of places on this module. Students are reminded that enrolments which are not agreed by the Offering School in advance may be cancelled without notice.

Classes

A minimum of five recorded face-to-face meetings (individual or group) with a designated academic supervisor

Educational Aims

•Enable students to plan, research and write up a sustained piece of research in the field of International Communications.•Enable students to locate and handle a variety of primary source materials together with other relevant data, and to construct a bibliography of secondary sources.•Introduce students to the use of information technologies to access sources and information in the field of International Communications.
