Educational Aims

To explore contemporary concepts in the prevention, promotion and maintenance of healthy sexual and reproductive public health

Learning Outcomes

To critically examine definitions of sexuality, sexual identity and sexual expression in order to explore their roles in  sexual and reproductive health

To evaluate existing strategies for the promotion of healthy sexual and reproductive health in order to explain poor health.

To explore pre-, peri- and postnatal health of individuals and their children and the impact of health and social inequalities

To create a health promotion, prevention or maintenance approach to use with a specific population.

To explore the role of the public health practitioners in relation to sexual and reproductive maturity from birth to death
