There will be 60 hours tutor led teaching, 10 hours supervision and the remaining 330 hours are for self-directed study

- 100% Dissertation: 6,000 word dissertation

Educational Aims
This course aims to enable the student to demonstrate their ability in planning and conducting an independent health improvement plan relating to a critical health issue within individuals and populationsLearning Outcomes
Critically appraise research, health and social policies and wider evidence in an integrated manner to assess critical health issues within populations locally, nationally or globally
Demonstrate effective and independent critical thinking and decision making skills in the development of a health improvement plan to address the chosen issue
Defend decision making taking into account ethical and legal implications
Apply relevant health improvement strategies and models to demonstrate appropriate leadership within project development that incorporates management of change facilitators and barriers
Critically analyse evaluation methods for measuring success of the health improvement plan, incorporating contingency strategies
Generate a strategy for the dissemination of recommendations into public health practice
