Summary
The module involves the in-depth semester-long study of a topic in art history. The topic is chosen by the student in consultation with a tutor and can only be taken subject to approval by the module convener/Head of Department. The dissertation module convenor will allocate the student's tutor in consultation with the student, subject to the availability of staff. There is a minimum requirement of two hours supervision, with further time allocated at the discretion of the tutor. Attendance at regular tutorials/workshops is a requirement for completion of the module.

Classes
- One 2-hour workshop each week for 3 weeks
- One 30-minute tutorial each week for 4 weeks
- One 2-hour seminar each week for 20 weeks
Assessment
- 100% Dissertation: 4,000 - 7,000 words
