Summary
This module requires a student to complete a placement at an external organization carrying out professionally supervised practical training. The industrial training must last a minimum of twelve consecutive weeks in the same company or institution. While it is difficult to provide general criteria for the type of work performed, it is expected that the training will be relevant to the engineering discipline of study, as judged by the relevant Department.
Target Students
B/MEng Part II Engineering students of the Malaysia Campus
Classes
carry out a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks of professionally supervised practical training, which is relevant to the student's discipline of studies, in an external organization.
Assessment
- 20% Practical: Company supervisors evaluation
- 40% Report: Industrial training report
- 10% Presentation 1: Student Presentation
- 10% Practical: Visiting lecturers evaluation
- 20% Report: Weekly activity log sheets
Educational Aims
