Summary
This pod focuses on quantitative research methods that are used to conduct empirical work in the field of applied linguistics. Offering an accessible introduction to SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) software, students are given the opportunity to study key issues related to the process of data collection and analysis as well as develop practical skills for reporting research findings. Examples of topics that are discussed include designing and administering questionnaires, comparing two or more groups by means of different statistical tests and carrying out a correlation analysis. By completing the pod, students will master the necessary knowledge and practical skills related to quantitative research.
