Only available to English Studies Single and Joint Honours students withdrawing from those courses at the end of the Autumn Semester. Not available to any Exchange students.
Classes
- One 1-hour seminar each week for 12 weeks
- One 1-hour lecture each week for 12 weeks
Assessment
- 40% Coursework 1: One 1500 words midterm essay
- 60% Exam (2-hour): One 2-hours exam at the end of semester

This module aims to provide students with: An introduction to selected literary texts at a level of imaginative engagement and analytic response appropriate to university studyA basis of knowledge, working methods and appropriate terminology for subsequent work at university level.Learning Outcomes
