Summary

This module provides a basic knowledge of derivatives including higher order derivatives, transcendental functions and their inverses. The module also aims to introduce the calculus techniques for curve sketching and solving of rea-world problems that involve finding the optimal value(s) of a functions and including; i) Demonstrate the understanding in differentiating polynomial, rational, irrational functions including transcendental functions and its inverse ii) Apply integration techniques to solve engineering and mathematical problems iii) Ability to approximate the value of a definite integral numerically

Target Students

All Engineering foundation students

Classes
