Summary
Apprentices will undertake a year-long project in a team working collaboratively with other students on the course who are likely to be working with different employers. The project could involve some on-the-job time using and developing skills they already have, and some off-the-job time demonstrating new skills, knowledge and/or behaviours.
Assessment will comprise of a project plan, a final report, a log book, a presentation.
Re-assessment
Students will be required to complete a re-assessment of any failed element, an alternative project may be supplied if deemed necessary by the programme team.
Target Students
This module is only available to Apprentices on the Electromechanical Engineer Degree Level Apprenticeship.
Assessment
- 10% Coursework 1: Project Plan (Group)
- 60% Coursework 2: Final Report (Group)
- 20% Coursework 3: Project Presentation (Group)
- 10% Coursework 4: Logbook and Reflection (Individual)
Assessed by end of designated period
Educational Aims
The aim of the module is to further develop the student’s ability to solve Electro-Mechanical Engineering problems in a team environment applying knowledge gained in other modules.Learning Outcomes
