Educational Aims
To develop key design and development skills needed by modern engineers, and to provide a guided application of the concepts and theory taught in the second year of all undergraduate courses in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.Learning Outcomes
1. Demonstrate an ability to design solutions to real world practical problems through the application of basic mechactronic engineering concepts.
2. Develop robust computer codes, designed to meet a specific task and show how concepts in programming relate to the devices on which code is executed.
3. Acquire and analyse experimental data, including the evaluation of system performance.
4. Select and use appropriate laboratory equipment and apply computer software based tools for: the design, simulation, construction and analysis of mechatronic systems.
