Summary

This module considers:

• The practicality of the practice in TESOL /  SEN
  Preparation for and experience of field experiences in classroom setting
• The emotional issue regarding teaching and working in school setting.

Target Students

Bachelor of Arts in Education with Honours (TESOL) Available to JYA/Erasmus students.

Classes

• One 1-hour tutorial each week for 12 weeks
• One 2-hour lecture each week for 12 weeks

Assessment

• 80% Practicum Observation: observations of teaching practice
• 20% Reflections: Reflection of observed lessons

Knowledge and Understanding
A2 theoretical and practical knowledge about learning, curriculum and pedagogies;

B1 compare, contrast and evaluate different educational systems, experiences and outcomes;
B3 develop inquiries into learning and teaching and apply the knowledge gained

C1 have developed professional competence in teaching through the application of knowledge, skills and understanding developed throughout the course;
