Summary
This module focuses on
- discussing theories and principles in material development for language learning;
- interpreting factors influencing materials development for language learning;
- identifying possibilities and constraints of digital and non-digital materials as language learning materials;
- classifying features of digital and non-digital materials developed for mixed ability group and special education needs;
- applying material evaluation principles on digital and non-digital language learning materials;
- analysing stakeholders’ needs for developing digital and non-digital materials;
- curating and creating digital and non-digital materials for language learning purpose specifically inductive and deductive learning, task-based learning and content language based language instruction.

Educational Aims
The aims of this module are to introduce issues pertaining to digital and non-digital language learning materials and process in developing language learning materials. Taking a backward design perspective, this module provides practice and insight in developing digital and non-digital materials for different learners and mixed ability classes.Learning Outcomes
