Summary
In essence, the module will help students to understand, to adapt and to contribute to the evolving nature of the school curriculum. Curriculum theorizing, curriculum development and assessment, pedagogy, curriculum inquiry, curriculum history, leadership and advocacy, critical media literacy, teacher research, intercultural and international dialogue, the aesthetic experience and education, politics of curriculum, and creative education are all part of the scholarship of curriculum studies in the module. Particular attention is also devoted to those absent from typical curriculum decision making; curriculum studies is concerned with issues of equity, access, and voice.

Bachelor of Arts in Education and Bachelor of Education TESOL
Classes
- One 1-hour tutorial each week for 12 weeks
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 12 weeks

Educational Aims
The aim of this module is to provide an opportunity for students to explore the general principles underpinning the planning, organisation, implementation and review of curricula in general and the Malaysian school curriculum in particular.Learning Outcomes
