Summary
This module will introduce students to a variety of methodologies that could be used to teach literature in the language and literature classrooms. Students will explore teaching approaches for the three main literary genres. They will also be introduced to the aspects of testing and evaluation in literature.

Bachelor of Arts in Education and Bachelor of Education TESOL

- One 2-hour seminar each week for 11 weeks
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 11 weeks

Educational Aims
defining and revising notions about literature;identifying the principles and theories in the teaching of literature;examining literary texts from the different literary genres;utilising various critical theories for analysing literary texts;composing a philosophy of teaching literature;developing assessment for teaching literature;creating lesson plans for teaching literature.Learning Outcomes
