This module considers:
the role of language in different areas of study
content based language teaching
ways language can be taught/learned in different subjects
Target Students
Bachelor of Arts in Education and Bachelor of Education (TESOL)
Classes
- One 2-hour seminar each week for 11 weeks
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 11 weeks
This module consists of 40 hours of teaching and 160 hours independent study
Assessment
- 40% Coursework 1: Essay 1000-2000 words - Disclaimer: Coursework may vary in different semesters
- 40% Coursework 2: Lesson Plan & Reflection 1000 words
- 20% Presentation 1: Presentation 10 minutes
Assessed by end of autumn semester
