Summary
This module will offer an introduction to some theoretical concepts related to the allocation of risk by financial institutions. Then it will apply these concepts to the analysis of financial and banking crises.
Target Students
Available to Year 2 Undergraduate students on Economics degree programmes. Available to Year 2 Undergraduate students on the BA Jt Hons Politics and Economics and BSc Jt Hons Maths and Economics degrees. Also available to Economics Exchange students. This module cannot be taken with BUSI2033.

Educational Aims
This module aims to:To introduce some basic theoretical tools useful for analysing financial market operations.To provide an understanding of (a) the behaviour of investors, and (b) the way that financial markets allocate risks.To apply the new tools to the analysis of systemic evens, such as financial and banking crises.This module helps develop skills in reflection of understanding of material through tutorial questions.Learning Outcomes
