Summary
This module also aims to provide a means for enabling students to reflect on their personal development and the implications this might have for their future career paths. It will include:
• Guidance on recording and evaluating skills.
• Guidance on careers from the Centre for Career Development.
• Guidance on skills for use in seeking employment.
• Information, guidance and advice from a range of graduate employers and alumni.
Assessment
All assignments are assessed independently on Moodle.
Target Students
Compulsory for all Level 1 students in the School of Economics but not available to anyone from outside the School.
Classes
Method of Learning The module is offered as a 100% e-learning module on Moodle combined with the talks and workshops offered by career services. The students main methods of learning consist in independent work on assignments, small group work on assignments and learning in larger groups on the workshops organised by the university's career services.
Assessment
- 40% Coursework 1: CV Reflection
- 30% Coursework 2: Mock Interview
- 15% Coursework 3: Skill Audit
- 15% Coursework 4: Reflection on 1 career talk
