- 40% Poster Presentation and PPT: 1 x continuous research/preparation task for final presentation
- 60% individual presentation: 1 x end-of-semester individual presentation (8-10m)

Educational Aims
To equip students with the necessary language, strategies and skills for understanding academic lectures, taking notes and both participating in and delivering academic discussions and presentations in undergraduate academic contexts.Learning Outcomes

- effective listening and note-making strategies to assist them in their comprehension of academic lectures.
- the ability to re-formulate lecture notes for use in other academic contexts.
- a greater awareness of English pronunciation, intonation and rhythmic variations.

an understanding of oral presentation structure, language and phonology. - an awareness of how the verbal and non-verbal aspects of oral communication interact.
