Summary

The Financial Technology Dissertation is an extended piece of research work within the fields of finance and information technology. Students will be appointed a supervisor around the beginning of the Summer Semester prior to undertaking the research work. Students are expected to keep regular contact with their supervisor who provide students with advice on the feasibility, research methodology, data collection, and the production of the dissertation during and toward the end of the project.

Target Students

Only Business School MSc Financial Technology students

Classes

Contact hours for this module comprise a mix of face-to-face meetings, group workshops, mentoring and study clinics, video/telephone calls, email conversations, and peer-to-peer feedback sessions. The onus is on the student to engage with all contact time offered in alignment with the requirements of their studies. Students must remain in communication with the supervisory team throughout their dissertation studies.

• Being able to produce and well structured, argued, and written piece of research work
