Summary

Business Project requires students, working as groups, to undertake research in a topic which is relevant to business, management, marketing, finance, accounting, or information system. The students must choose their research topic that is relevant to their named degree programme. The specific topic is subject to a formal approval process. The module is intended for students to apply knowledge, concepts, skills, and techniques, acquired during the taught stage of their programme to real-world, business scenarios. Students will be presented with real-word business problems for which they are required to review relevant literature, conduct research, analyse data, and formulate viable solutions.

Also available to MSc Exchange students.

This module is taught through a combination of practicums and seminars.

Educational Aims

To enable full-time MSc students to relate business issues to the available academic literature, to define a research question using a real business problem as a base, research and review the literature on the topic with the purpose of understanding and critiquing the current state of the research, and to develop a structured commentary leading to well-supported opinions and prescriptions.
