Target Students
Only available for MSc Information Systems and Operations Management OR MSc Supply Chain and Operations Management students OR MSc Exchange students.
Classes
- One 2-hour seminar each week for 10 weeks
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 11 weeks
Total 200 hours: 22 hours lectures, 20 hours small group teaching, 156 hours of independent study (coursework preparation = 56 hours; background reading and group work) = 100) 11 times 2-hour lectures face-to-face 10 times 2 hour seminars (6 sessions as Lab sessions, 4 as seminars)
Assessment
- 70% Coursework: Individual Coursework (3,000 words).
- 10% Presentation: Group Coursework: submission of presentation slides (maximum 10 slides).
- 20% Report: Group Report (3,000 words).
Educational Aims
To provide students with a practical grounding in the theory, techniques and technologies of business intelligence and analytics. In order to demonstrate the relevance of theory to practice, it will provide practical experience of designing and building business intelligence systems.Learning Outcomes
