Summary
This module explicitly focuses on technologies, planning and managerial issues associated with big data projects in business. Key concepts revolve around: understanding requirements; coordination of a business analytics team; the data lifecycle; using noSQL solutions (e.g. Hadoop, Pig, Hive, MongoDB); Linked data; taking solutions from evaluation to implementation (e.g. A/B Testing); Presenting persuasive results (e.g. d3, advanced python and HTML5); and extending to real- time/stream business analytics.

Tools and techniques for transforming (big) data into useful information for business analysis and decision support
Communications – the comprehension and use of relevant communications for application in business and management, including the use of digital tools
Digital business – the development of strategic priorities to deliver business at speed in an environment where digital technology is reshaping traditional revenue and business models, associated risk management
