Target Students
Business School MSc students meeting pre-requisites and subject to compliance with module choice requirements, as listed in the degree programme specification. In addition, other MA/MSc students meeting pre-requisites and subject to the discretion of the Director of MSc Programmes
Classes
- One 3-hour seminar each week for 5 weeks
- One 3-hour lecture each week for 10 weeks
Activities may take place every teaching week of the Semester or only in specified weeks. It is usually specified above if an activity only takes place in some weeks of a Semester
Assessment
- 100% Exam 1 (3-hour): One 3 hour exam (100%)
Educational Aims
The aim of this Financial Accounting and Reporting module is to ensure that students build upon year 1 Financial Accounting module and understand a wider range of International Financial Reporting Standards. They will be able to prepare single entity financial statements, and extracts from those financial statements, covering a wide range of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); basic consolidated financial statements and should be able to explain accounting and reporting concepts and ethical issues, and the application of specified IFRS to a given single entity.Learning Outcomes
