Summary
This module provides students with a basic understanding of the concepts of enterprise digitalisation and transformation. Digitalisation systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERPs) will be introduced in this module. Student will learn what Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERPs) are and how organisations can use ERPs to run their operations so as to support enterprise digitalisation and transformation.
Through this course, students will develop an appreciation of the use and deployment of ERPs in organisations, comprehend the critical benefits and risks of ERPs, and analyse the purchasing choice and implementation of ERPs. Moreover, this course will incorporate laboratory sessions using SAP (or other substitutable) software so students can gain hands-on experience about how to navigate the software with ease.
Pre-Requisites: BUSI2193 Business Operations Analytics
Target Students
Part 2 Business School students. Also available to exchange students with equivalent experience to the pre-requisite.

- One 1-hour-30-minute lecture each week for 11 weeks
- One 1-hour-30-minute laboratory each week for 3 weeks
Assessment
- 50% Group project: Group project (practicalERP design) with 1,000 word report.
- 50% Exam: 1 Hour Exam

Educational Aims
The primary aim of this module is to provide an initial appreciation of enterprise digitalisation and transformation using ERP for organisations in today’s business world.Learning Outcomes
