Summary
This module will equip students with the analytical tools they need to understand the issues relating to international financing and investment and manage the risks that businesses may face in today’s competitive global environment.
Target Students
Available toPart II Business School, Applied Psychology and Mathematical Sciences students with the required pre-requisiteBUSI1039 Quantitative Methods 1b (or equivalent quantitative module). Not available to students taking or who have taken BUSI2151 Corporate Finance and BUSI3053 International Finance.
Classes
- One 2-hour seminar each week for 5 weeks
- One 3-hour lecture each week for 11 weeks
Assessment
- 100% Exam (3-hour): One 3-hour examination

- The development, access and operation of markets for resources, goods and services.
- The sources, uses and management of finance.
- The use of accounting and other information systems for managing financial risk.
- The development of appropriate policies and strategies within a changing environment to meet stakeholder interests.
- The use of risk management techniques and business continuity planning to help maximise achievement of strategic objectives.
