In this final-year module for students on the BSc International Business Economics, we offer a comprehensive introduction to the equity, fixed-income, and derivatives markets. We focus on the derivation of the Capital Market Pricing Model (CAPM) and the empirics of asset pricing in the equity market. We further introduce the fixed-income and futures and options market with an emphasis on the pricing of these products.

Re-assessment format is decided by the school.

Educational Aims

To familiarise students with the basic concepts and tools that have been developed for the analysis of Financial Economics and Financial Markets.
