Summary

This module discusses and analyses the management of the international finance function of firms. Typical issues include: Foreign Exchange markets, foreign exchange and other international risks, international financial markets, international investment decisions and foreign trade.

Target Students

Available to Part II Business Schoolstudents with the required pre-requisite BUSI2151 Corporate Finance or BUSI2054Financial Management.Not available to students taking or who have taken BUSI3159 Finance in the Global Market.

Classes

Ten 2-hour lectures and three 1-hour seminars per semester.

Assessed by end of autumn semester

Educational Aims

To develop an in-depth understanding of international finance and financial markets. To analyse risks that exist in international finance, including foreign exchange, foreign trade and investment risks, and to select and use appropriate techniques to manage such risks.
