Summary
This module will introduce the following topics:
Activity based costing; Process costing; Transfer pricing; The changing role of the management accountant; Curvilinear cost functions (eg the learning curve); pricing decisions and strategies; the range of alternative approaches to performance measurement and their respective merits/problems.
Target Students
Part I and II undergraduate students who have taken BUSI1093 Fundamentals of Financial and Management Accounting or BUSI1128 Fundamentals of Financial and Management Accounting [Acc] or BUSI1005 Introduction to Management Accounting. Also available to Exchange students.

Educational Aims
The aim this module is to build on the learning from Fundamentals of Finance and Management Accounting in order to further develop students’ skills in the computational aspects of management accounting and explore the relevance, significance and applicability of such techniques. In addition, this module critically examines the role of management accounting in cost management, pricing decisions and performance measurement.Learning Outcomes
