Summary
This module will introduce factors influencing consumer behaviour, including psychological, physiological but also extrinsic factors such as sustainability. The psychological theories that underpin decision making will be explored, as will the qualitative and quantitative methods used to measure them. Content will be practically delivered mainly via workshops, with lectures and videos to support practical delivery.
Target Students
UG or MSc students but particularly those studying Food Science, Nutrition, Psychology, Social Sciences and Business.
Classes
Content will be delivered using blended learning elements to support lectures, practical and tutorials to consolidate learning. Within each week, sessions will comprise of a dynamic mix of short lectures, in-class practical activities, blended learning and tutorials.
Assessment
- 100% Coursework 1: Oral Presentation

To introduce factors influencing consumer behaviour and how to measure them. To understand the merits and limitations of different approaches to measure consumer behaviour.Learning Outcomes
